That being said I begin with a great Brunch find from the city of Birmingham which is also my old hometown (no I do not have the Brummie accent).
Boston Tea Party is located a little bit of a walk away from the famous Bullring and Grand Central areas but if you are looking for a strong coffee and a varied menu options this is your place.
Located near the law courts this breakfast/ lunch / stopover coffee break was recommended by my sister.
Being a Londoner now I am spoilt for choice for brunch places but the whole idea of brunch seems to be a new thing in Birmingham (from what I have experienced).
So when I made my monthly visit to Bham to see family, we decided to give this place a go.
As soon as you enter you are greeted by red and wood interiors giving it a very open feeling with plenty of seating and a great pastry, cake and bread display.
Once we found a table we looked through the menu and were ready to order at the counter area (this is a self-service place).
Once the order is placed you can help yourself to water and other condiments that are placed next to the counter.
My sister on the other hand went for scrambled eggs with wholemeal toast.
Both dishes were fresh, yummy and exactly what we needed.
We sat there quite a while enjoying the tea and reading our Sunday papers before bracing the cold outside.
It’s a place I intend to visit again and am hoping to try the rest of the dishes on the menu.
